EAST SANDWICH - The Sandwich Blue Knights used a pair of second half goals to overtake Carver 3-1 and remain unbeaten on Tuesday afternoon at DeConto Stadium.
Sara McFarland knocked home a pass from Stacy Hopkins to give Sandwich (3-0) a 2-1 lead 11 minutes into the second half, with Julia Hanson sending home a rebound off a corner kick 29 minutes after the half.
Hopkins knotted things at 1- all in the 26th minute of the match, scoring on a cross from Katie Hughes just two minutes after Carver had broken the ice.
The Blue Knights got strong play from Bella Collentro and Hailey Whalen on defense and Rae LaRochelle up front.
